One of the things that really bothers me about the marketing I see is that EVERYONE says the same thing: what I am offering is awesome! It’s exactly what YOU need and it will solve all your problems.
That can’t be true for me of everything that is out there!! So then I am stuck working to sort through the offers in an effort to figure out which specific ones may actually be helpful to me.
I don’t want to market who I am and what I have to offer in this way. So far I haven’t made a connection with anyone who feels to me like they are marketing in an authentic way so that I, as a potential client, feel what I am seeking and need is being honored.
What people say about their training materials and coaching and all they can help me with sounds great. There is a miles long “squeeze page” (can you guess why it is called that?) that tells of the awesome benefits of this program, with multiple places to purchase the offer. Yet I walk away from these offers with a yuck feeling in my stomach.
I’m still working to sort it out and understand. I’m being coached to do the same thing everyone else is doing but it doesn’t feel right! This leaves me feeling alone and wondering how to move forward in a way that feels honest and authentic in my heart.
I’m very clear about who my ideal clients are. I get more clear on this all the time as I interact with people. What I offer is not something I find anyone else offering and I know it’s not for everyone. It’s for a select few who are willing to work on making changes in many areas of their life in a way that works, and on a level where the changes are permanent.
I have no magic pill because I haven’t found one yet. What I’m talking about takes work, time and commitment. And the rewards are worth all of it. Someone who wants to experience this, and get support as they go through the process, is my ideal client. Then the question becomes, how do I get myself out there in such a way that I make the connection with people who will be overjoyed to have my help? I know you are out there. Where are you?
